Minnesota United FC Planning Big Pride Night

Minnesota United Pride NightEver since they took on their current moniker, supporting the LGBT community has always been part of being Minnesota United, and their first Pride Night in MLS will continue that trend.

Club president Nick Rogers shared the following in their announcement: “Sports are incredibly powerful in society and we, as a professional sports organization, are uniquely positioned to impact our culture. Inclusiveness and tolerance have always been important and guiding principles for our club.”

Promising their most “robust demonstration” ever, players will take the field flanked by rainbow scarves, a new video from the team will air, and the local LGBT team the Twin Cities Jacks will play a match on the field before the game.

The show of support from the team will go beyond the stadium, with a portion of tickets sold using a pride code supporting Twin Cities Pride. The Dark Clouds supporters group will also be selling pride gear with the proceeds benefiting a local LGBT youth center.
