Looking Back / Looking Forward with Janine

There have been so many great moments from 2011, but the one that stands out the most is Roger Torres’ goal, just off the bench, to defeat New York at PPL Park in April. No, it’s Michael Farfan’s goal in the 3-2 victory over DC United in September. Oh, I just cant pick one moment from our rivals’ defeats at PPL to be the best moment of 2011 so it has to be…all of them!

I’m looking forward to seeing how our new acquisitions will meld with the rest of the team, as we have made some major changes this season. Our defense went from sparse to stacked and Lionard Pajoy looks like he will be particularly exciting. Maybe there will be a little “Guatemalan heat” (said in “The Birdcage” movie style) going on between Pajoy and Roger Torres to create some dynamic scoring opportunities? And some spicy goal celebrations –watch out Victor Cruz.  See you in The River End. DOOP!
